Okay, here's your one warning of overly astonished fangasms of fangirl proportions and major spoilers for the Last Young Justice episode. Now that thats out of the way....

WALLY DIES?!?!?!!!!!!!!! OH. MY. SPEEDSTER. Okay, so first off- I'm so sad about that, and as many of you (really all of you) should know, I'm sort of a HUGE Wally West and (in general) Flash fan. I have watched Young Justice avidly for a very long time now. So just to be clear, I love the guy to pieces. Always have and I always will.

Now. I actually think that is the bestest thing ever! First off, how heroic! Every single person out there cannot deny that they want their hero to have his/ or her last stand to be for something BIG. Something major. Something IMPORTANT. And Wally gets that. Not only does he get to die doing the thing he truly loves most (well, other than his family and friends) but he gets to die alongside Flash and Bart. Sort of his psuedo little brother and his all-time childhood hero and favorite Uncle, the Flash.

Secondly, and on a more selfish spectrum- this entire second season has been great. I loved it to pieces, especially these final episodes. But the entire season I was waiting for Wally's return. The entire season- though I love all the other characters as well, I just wanted more Wally. So when I found out they were cancelling the show I was devastated! (Everyone is, am I right?) and there were lots of theories that they were planning on having Wally become the Flash for season three (Which got me so mad because then I wanted another season) but the way they killed Wally off... the timing was perfect. (Atleast for me). Because now that there is no Wally (and Nightwing took a break), well, I don't know if I would be all that happy with another season. (I'd probably only care about Beast Boy and Connor then) Especially since there wouldn't be any hope of Wally coming back anymore like I had all season two. (And I guess dreams do come true! haha) So, the selfish thing is, I am now content with this being the final season. I'm content with everything. And, as much as I hate to say it, I am content with how Wally died. (Because there are always other versions, am I right?)

And, thirdly. They never produced a body so if- no, WHEN- our petitions work and a third season DOES come around...perhaps there is still hope that the Wall-man will survive...and then we get to roll around in his speedster angst!

Wally died to protect everyone, In my book he died one of the greatest heroes ever. The ultimate sacrifice. And just look at his impact on everyone! I call that a success. (Especially since there was never a body...just sayin.)

But that doesn't mean I'm gonna stop drawing Wally, love him too much. He's still alive in my book. Hehehe....
